There is a basic idea behind using certain units to fight against other certain units. There is a sort of paper rock scissors type factor built in the game and in general it works like this: Ground troops (infantry), beat Air units, Air units beat ground units, and ground units(tanks etc.) beat infantry.
Use this to your advantage when deploying your troops out.
Remember this when up against players who like to rush attack. Try to predict what they will do what they will send at you and use the shell defense tactic.
Some of your army carry flamethrowers, make sure you have some to defend against the flood.
When fighting the flood be careful not to let your troops too close, the parasitic flood can infect your soldiers and turn them against you.
Make proper use of the sniper towers in Halo Wars. The game has them for a reason, they protect your snipers. Use them and keep your snipers alive for much longer.
Use the flood to your advantage when fighting the Covenant. In a heated battle the Covenant will stop fighting you to get at the Flood. So a smart player should be able to use this in multiplayer and team battles.
If you have duel pistols, they can also four shot, four shots from each pistol will kill someone, but its not the easiest.
Everyone knows how to use a Sniper Rifle, but to do it more efficantly you have move back and forth, and then shoot, its harder but then your harder to hit.
Ok, if you want to have fun with a Sniper on a map get your sniper go somewhere that has a long hallway, then bunker down and when people start coming at you they cant move back and forth that much and you can just pop in the head left and right, or do it on infection, best way to survive.
Ok someone tells you can get a four shot headshot with a BR, yes you can, but you dont have to, you can just shoot the body three times then shoot the head.
